MyCalorieCoach can be used in a simple way as a communication tool between client and coach. We assume that the coach is a dietician, but it can also be a sports coach, GP, teacher or other consultant. When you have created a file with sports and nutrients, you can send it to your dietician via the program. The dietician will receive your file by e-mail and can see it on his or her computer. Click on the send button in the menu bar to start the send wizard.
When you select a group, the information concerning the group you have selected will appear at the bottom of the list. Click on Next to access the list with recipients in this group. Select a group
In the third step you need to select a dietician or other consultant. Behind this person's name there is a price. This is what the dietician will charge for treating your file. Select a dietician
When you have selected a dietician and then click on Next, a window appears that contains detailed information about the dietician. A dietician can decide to use a password. If that is the case, you need to enter that password here. When you click on Next, the program will start sending the file.
The time it takes to send the file depends on the speed of your Internet connection and the size of the file. Status indicators keep you informed of the progress. Send file progress The file has been sent correctly when all the indicators are set to green. The file that has been sent will be sent to the dietician by the central computer. The dietician will receive the file by e-mail and can open and read the file directly from the e-mail.
Unfortunately, some Internet providers will block port 25 of your Internet connection. This problem occurs at any rate with the Internet providers AtHome, Planet Internet and Chello. MyCalorieCoach uses port 25 to send your file to the dietician. When an error occurs during sending, you need to provide some additional data. In the fourth tab of the settings screen you can provide an SMTP server and account. These data are among the information you have received from your Internet provider when you first connected to the Internet.
